1. The AW Center for Cosmetic Surgery, located in Reston Virginia, is comprised of four board certified plastic surgeons and 20 members of our support staff. Established in 1978, it is the first free-standing surgical facility in the Washington, DC area devoted exclusively to cosmetic surgery.
2. The focus of our practice is cosmetic surgery, attracting patients from all over the world, as well as our local metropolitan DC, Maryland and Virginia areas.
3. Our surgeons have pioneered new procedures and are considered international experts in rejuvenation of the aging mouth. They teach courses in their techniques at the national meeting of Plastic Surgeons.
4. Our surgeons have published articles in major Plastic Surgery Journals and authored a chapter in a Plastic Surgery textbook.
5. Dr. Austin, Dr. Weston and Dr. Poindexter have all had cosmetic surgery themselves and have performed it on their wives, other plastic surgeons, and along with Dr. Sigal, on over 20 of their staff members.
6. The Center is a beautiful free-standing building with 4 fully-equipped operating suites. This allows the surgeons to perform outpatient surgery without your having to have general anesthesia in a hospital.
7. We have a state-of-the-art computer imaging system that can show you what you may look like following cosmetic surgery.
8. We have published a book on cosmetic surgery, Better Than Ever.
9. We have been featured in People Magazine, Regardies, and in Allure Magazine. Locally, our patient was featured on the cover of the Washingtonian magazine issue, "Young Again."
10. We have appeared on the Donahue and Oprah shows, on WJLA-TV News, Fox TV and on CBS "Success Stories."
11. Our Center is a short cab ride from Dulles International Airport. There are seven hotels within one kilometer. Our staff can arrange appropriate nursing care.
